CottageClub

These print materials were made to highlight the character of the recreational cottage community and reflect the design and layout of their pre-existing website. The materials were made as a cohesive package - a main tri-fold brochure with general information on the community, a bi-fold insert highlighting the on-site cottage builders, and a 6x9" mailout.


Calgary Concert Opera Company

The inspiration for the logo comes from the shape of the bass clef in musical notation. We thought this would be an especially appropriate reference to the musical aspect of the company. So we flipped the clef around to have it form a large, scripted "C" forming the beginning to the word "Calgary". What we wanted was for the "C" to have the ability to act as a letter, but also act as a logo on its own. This paid off as we were able to manipulate it as it's own design element on promotional materials including t-shirts and scarves.


Shrine Circus Campaign

Working together with a team of marketers, our role in the Shrine Circus campaign was to come up with a visual concept to freshen up their appearance. Our solution was to go with illustrations that were clean and simple, yet playful that would compliment the taglines for each ad. Inspired in part by cut paper animation, we worked mostly with silhouettes and injected some photographic elements to make the figures come alive. The illustrations were formatted to work in multiple settings including newspapers, digital and printed billboards, bus signs, and web banners. The campaign was so well received that it picked up three awards at NAIT's marketing gala in 2012 including the awards for Brand Management, Visual Excellence, and Best Overall Campaign.


Digital Portfolio

This portfolio showcases a variety of print design done during 2011-2013. These projects vary from menus and forms to illustrations and photoshop manipulation. All were pre-pressed for digital print output. A few of the projects from this selection were done in collaboration with clients who selected our work through competition as the winning designs to be put into production for their events, including pieces for the Abra-Kid-Abra magic show, BTECH Symposium, and the Shrine Circus Ad Campaign.
